Resume of Career

Michael Ulrich Jurczyk was born in Boblingen, Germany. He obtained his Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering as well as his Master's of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida, USA. His Master's thesis was titled "Shape Based Stereovision Assistance in Rehabilitation Robotics." Due to his constant interest in clean energy, he gladly joined Dr. Stefanakos, under the supervision of Dr. Kumar to pursue his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and is doing research on the development of a hydrogen storage material to meet and exceed US DOE requirements. As part of the research, Michael utilizes Raman Spectroscopy, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, Thermal Gravimetric Analysis, Differential Scanning Calorimetry, Scanning Electron Microscopy, X-Ray Diffraction Analysis, and also knows Modeling Software, Programming Languages, and much more. He hopes to graduate by end of 2007 and would like to work with a large automobile company, ideally in his native Germany.
